About us
We are a 6BBL brewery fast out-growing our current site. Also combining a taproom and burger bar, our team are continually economising with space in order to maximise our postage-stamp-footprint.
A short stroll over the bridge from Eastleigh railway station (on the mainline from London Waterloo), we are easy to get to and offer an open-door seven days a week.
Our site has a fascinating history. We opened in November 2017 and despite originally being built as a pub, the first ever pint poured here was a Steam Town one — one hundred and eleven years after the original application was rejected.
The name Steam Town is a nod to Eastleigh's rich industrial railway heritage, something we honour throughout the business — from original railway memorabilia and repurposed materials in the taproom, to our beer names and Heath-Robinson-inspired labels and pump clips.
A finalist in the SIBA Business Awards 2021 for the UK’s Best Independent Craft Brewery Taproom, we not only produce a wide gamut of delicious beers ranging from traditional cask ales to bourbon barrel-aged imperial stouts, but we also offer a friendly and welcoming space over two floors for beer fans to come and enjoy them at the source.
Cheers
