Reservations

Can I alter my booking?

If you need to alter your booking you can do so by following the link from your confirmation email (if less than 10 persons booked). If it's been booked for more than 10 people then please call our team as soon as possible on 02382 359 139.

Can I book a table for more than an hour & half?

To help give more people the opportunity to visit with their friends and family, our reservations system is set to an hour & half. Tables of 10 or more are automatically given 2 hours. If you would like more time, then please call us on 02382 359 139 and we will do our best to accommodate.

Can I bring my dog?

Well behaved dogs are welcome on a lead.

What time do you serve food until?

Food orders are available until 9pm daily (both indoors and out).

Can I bring my children?

Well behaved children are welcome to accompany an adult as part of a group booking. We request that parents with young children are prepared to leave by 9pm.

My children are a little older — are they allowed to visit Steam Town without an adult?

Older young people (13yrs+) are welcome to dine together without an adult in our dining area, providing the booking has been made in advance by a parent.

How do I book a function or event?

Please email info@steamtown.co.uk with details and our Events Manager will get in touch.

Getting here

What are the directions from the train station?

We're a five minute stroll from Eastleigh train station. Turn right when you leave the booking office and walk up Station Hill (it's not much of a hill though).

Follow the path across the bridge onto Bishopstoke Road. We're just the other side of the bridge at the corner of Dutton Lane and Bishopstoke Road.

Do you have a nearby bus stop?

Yes we do – it's right outside!

Stop name: Barton Park;
Blue Star buses No. 2 and 3.

Do you have bike racks at Steam Town?

We do. Plus there's plenty of tracks that head in all directions. Why not incorporate a visit into a ride along the Itchen Valley Way or a ride up into Stoke Park woods?

Here's the Eastleigh Borough Council Cycle Map.

Do you have parking?

We don't have parking ourselves, but we can suggest parking very nearby.

There is a new NCP car park across the road from Steam Town (behind S&T Cover) that is only 0.45p per hour

If you are visiting after 5.30pm Mon-Sat (and all day Sunday), you can park in ATS.

Just turn into Dutton Lane, then take your first left (50 yards). Please park in the spaces closest to the main road (since the other side isn't ATS).

Please note that Dutton Lane is a busy road, not just for local residents but also for the businesses further down the lane.

We often get whole train carriages and car transporters moving about and so politely request that cars avoid stopping and parking on the double yellow lines. Please also avoid parking in the Dutton Lane permit bays.

Other convenient places to park nearby:

Chickenhall Lane (map)
Eastleigh Railway Station (map/prices)
The Hub - First 90 minutes are free Mon-Fri 8am-6pm/Sat 8am - 12noon (map/prices)

Webshop

Can you deliver my webshop order?

Yes. To check our current delivery status, please see our Facebook page or call the taproom on 02382 359 139.

Which courier do you use?

We do a lot of local deliveries in and around Eastleigh ourselves. For nationwide deliveries we use APC.

How long does delivery take?

From leaving the brewery, nationwide delivery typically takes 2-3 working days.

Do you offer local delivery?

We have an option at the checkout for delivery to all UK postcodes (with some exceptions), the rate is £6.50 for the first 20kg.

Do I have to set up an account to place an order on your website?

No, you don't have to. However, setting up an account makes ordering again in the future even easier.

Do you have any active discount codes?

If we do, they will be available here.

Where do I put my discount code?

If you're using our webshop on a mobile device, you will need to proceed through the checkout to the payment stage before you see the box for the discount code.

If you are using our webshop on a desktop, you will see the discount code box on the first page of the checkout.
